Accessibility

NetraHub is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We work to meet the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA.

What we have done

Our storefront is built with accessibility in mind, including:

  • Semantic page structure with proper headings, landmarks and a skip-to-content link
  • Text alternatives for images, including product photography
  • Accessible names on buttons, links and form fields, so they are announced correctly by screen readers
  • Colour contrast checked against the WCAG AA thresholds for body and large text
  • Form errors identified in text, announced to screen readers, and focus moved to the first field needing attention
  • Keyboard navigation, with visible focus indicators
  • A page language declared for assistive technology
  • Responsive layouts that support zoom and reflow on smaller screens

We deliberately do not use accessibility overlay widgets. These tools often interfere with the assistive technology people already rely on, and we prefer to fix accessibility in the site itself.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We test as we build, review new features before they are released, and correct issues as we find them. Some areas of the site are still being reviewed, and third-party content such as manufacturer product descriptions and images is not always within our direct control.

If you encounter a barrier, we want to hear about it. Your feedback is the fastest way for us to find and fix problems.

Accessible formats and communication supports

On request, we will provide information about our products and services in an accessible format or with communication support. We will work with you to determine a suitable format, and there is no additional charge.

Give us feedback

If any part of this website is difficult to use, or you need information in another format, please contact us. Please tell us the page you were on and what you were trying to do, so we can reproduce the problem.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback promptly, and we keep a record of the issues raised so they can be addressed.
